SUTURE DEHISCENCE

81-year old male patient with a suture dehiscence following an abscess excision, abdomen

  PREVIOUS TREATMENT

Treatment with iodine dipped gauzes for 40 days without improvement of the wound situation. Treatment with  40 days after dehiscence of the suture.

  TREATMENT WITH  

Wound cleansing with saline solution, application of   and coverage with a non-woven gauze and a plaster. Initially, the wound cavity was filled with a non-woven gauze.

  RESULT

Wound closure within 4 weeks.
